student welfare & safeguarding

At Edison International Academy, Aspire, the safety, wellbeing, and personal development of every student are at the heart of our mission. We believe that children thrive when they feel valued, supported, and secure, and we are fully committed to creating an environment where every learner is protected and empowered to succeed.
Safeguarding is a shared responsibility across our entire school community. We uphold rigorous procedures and follow the highest standards set by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, as well as international best practices. Our staff receive regular training to ensure that they are confident in recognising concerns, responding appropriately, and promoting a culture where students’ voices are heard and respected.
Central to our approach is our dedicated Pastoral Care team, who work closely with students, teachers, and families to provide guidance, support, and encouragement. The team monitors student wellbeing, addresses social or emotional concerns, and ensures that each child feels connected and cared for throughout their school journey.
In addition, our qualified school counsellors offer confidential support to students who may benefit from personalised assistance. Whether navigating academic pressures, personal challenges, or social issues, our counsellors play an essential role in helping students build resilience, develop healthy coping strategies, and grow in confidence.
Together, our safeguarding procedures, pastoral systems, and counselling services ensure that Edison Aspire remains a nurturing, inclusive, and safe place where every child can flourish – academically, socially, and emotionally.
