Here you will find answers to the most common questions families ask about Edison International Academy, Aspire. If you need additional information, our Admissions or Administration teams are always happy to help.

Admissions & Enrolment

1. How do I apply for my child to join the school?
Applications can be submitted online through our website or in person at the school. Once we receive your application, our Admissions Team will contact you to guide you through the next steps.
Yes. All applicants from Preschool to Year 13 must complete an age-appropriate assessment to ensure they are placed correctly and can access our curriculum.
You will need a birth certificate, passport and Qatar ID for the student and parents, vaccination card, a passport photo, and any relevant medical reports. Transfer students also require official school reports and (for international transfers) MoEHE attestation.
Yes, subject to availability. MoEHE transfer regulations and equivalency requirements apply.
Students must have sufficient English proficiency to access the National Curriculum for England. We offer support at appropriate levels, but a basic foundation is required.

School Timings & Attendance

1. What are the school timings?
Preschool & Reception: 7:00 am – 1:00 pm
Primary & Secondary: 7:00 am – 1:15 pm
Yes. Students should arrive before 7:00 am to ensure a calm start to the day. Good attendance and punctuality are essential for academic success.
Yes. All students have two scheduled breaks for snacks, social time, and outdoor play.
Yes. Students who observe prayer have dedicated time and a supervised quiet space to pray.
After being absent, a written explanation is required when the child returns (absences@edisonqatar.com). We consider regular attendance to be most important, but please keep your child at home if s/he is sick. For early collection, parents must sign an early leave note at the office. Students will only be released for valid reasons (e.g., doctor’s appointment).
Unfortunately, accidents can happen. We will contact parents immediately. Ensure we have up-to-date contact numbers.

Curriculum & Learning

1. What curriculum do you follow?
We follow the National Curriculum for England, complemented by Arabic, Islamic Studies, and Qatar History in accordance with MoEHE requirements.
IGCSEs begin in Year 10, and AS/A Levels in Year 12.
Yes. Students can choose between French, German, and Spanish. These Modern Foreign Languages are taught from Year 4 to Year 9.

SEN & Student Support

1. Do you support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
Yes. Our SEN Inclusion Unit provides personalised support through a multidisciplinary team including Special Educators, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, and Shadow Teachers.
Through assessments, teacher observations, parent input, and, when needed, external evaluations.

School Life & Enrichment

1. Do you offer extra-curricular activities?
Yes. We provide a wide range of sports, arts, academic clubs, STEM programmes, and leadership opportunities.
Yes. Students participate in enrichment activities, competitions, themed days, and project-based learning integrated within the curriculum.
Absolutely. We celebrate Qatar National Day, Eid, Culture Days, book fairs, science weeks, and other community events.

Parent Engagement

1. How do you communicate with parents?
Through Digital Campus, newsletters, email, and Parent–Teacher Meetings held throughout the year.
Yes. Our active Parents’ Association (PTA) organises events, supports new families, and strengthens community spirit. Parents may join by contacting our Administration Office.

Uniform, Transport & Meals

1. Do students wear a school uniform?
Yes. All students must wear the approved school uniform. Details are shared upon admission.
Yes. School transportation is available at an additional cost. Contact the school bus coordinator at aezzeldin@edisonqatar.com
The school has two canteens. Students may also bring their own meals. Healthy eating is strongly encouraged.

Fees & Payments

1. What fees are required upon registration?
A non-refundable registration fee and an advance deposit (deducted from Term 1 fees). Mid-year transfers must pay the full term fee before starting.
Payments may be made via bank transfer or in person. Detailed instructions are provided by the Accounts Office.
