Our SEN Inclusion Unit is a dedicated provision designed to meet the diverse learning needs of students who require additional support, ensuring that they thrive academically, socially, and emotionally within our school community.

We believe that every child has unique strengths, abilities, and potential. Our Inclusion Unit adopts a holistic, child-centred approach that recognises individual

tailored support to help students overcome barriers to learning. Our SEN team strives to ensure that each child in our care receives the guidance, structure, and care they need to flourish.

A Multidisciplinary Team of Specialists

Our special children are supported by a highly experienced and compassionate multidisciplinary team, which includes:

Special Educators
Occupational Therapists (OTs)
Speech and Language Therapists (STs)
Shadow Teachers
Behaviour Support Specialists (where needed)

This collaborative team designs and delivers personalised interventions, ensuring that support is targeted, consistent, and responsive to each child’s developmental and academic needs.

Individualised Support and Learning Plans

Students identified with Special Educational Needs receive personalised provision through:

Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Differentiated teaching strategies
Targeted pull-out sessions
Therapy-led interventions
Regular progress reviews

Our SEN team works closely with classroom teachers to adapt resources, modify assessments, and create inclusive learning environments that build confidence and independence.

Dedicated SEN Spaces and Resources

The SEN Inclusion Unit provides specialised spaces designed to enhance focus, engagement, and wellbeing. These include:

Small-group and individual teaching rooms
Sensory and regulation areas
Therapy spaces equipped with tools for motor, sensory, and communication development

These environments allow students to learn at their own pace while developing essential life and academic skills.

Collaboration With Parents and External Professionals

We value strong partnerships with parents, recognising them as central to each child’s success. Our SEN team maintains open communication and works collaboratively with families to ensure transparency and shared decision-making.
